Earlier this year there was a story in the news that was totally heartbreaking. 19 year-old Renisha McBride was shot outside her home-city of Detroit. After a car crash that left her injured and disoriented, she sought help and knocked on the door of the first house she got to. The homeowner, Theodore Wafer, said he felt threatened, and used deadly force.
Today, Theodore Wafer was found guilty on three charges, one of which was second-degree murder. It isn't nearly enough, but it's something.
